When it comes to power feed contacts for your Excetek machine, it’s a good idea to check every 40 hours (or at least during your weekly maintenance schedule) to check, clean and adjust them.
Before you remove the power feeder, place the measuring gauge against it and the head to note its current position:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can then remove the upper and lower power feeders and clean with your usual EDM cleaner while you clean the heads and your other maintenance items (Nozzles etc):

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finally, replace the power feeders and use the gauge to position them in a new position.

Once you have changed the power feeders, don’t forget to reset the filter hour counter so you can get an idea of their life relative to your application- Push the “PARAMETER” key followed by the “MAINTAIN” key and CLEAR the counter:
