This privacy policy sets out how the Warwick Machine Tools Ltd uses and protects any information that you give us. Please read it carefully as you should only submit information to us if you agree we may use it in accordance with this privacy statement.

Warwick Machine Tools is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. We recognise the importance both of keeping that information secure and of letting you know what we intend to do with that information. What we collect

What we do with the information we gather

If you are a customer we will hold your information for up to 10 years, as our product have a long service life and we anticipate a requirement for ongoing service and support. Potential customer information is held for a maximum of 36 months before being refreshed and/or deleted. We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

We may use the information to provide & improve our products and services.

We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.

From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Only authorised personnel and contractors have access to your information. We will keep you on our mailing lists until you ask us to remove you from them.

When we share it

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

The data protection principles that Warwick Machine Tools upholds

There are eight data protection principles that are central to the Data Protection Act. The Company

must comply with these principles at all times in their information-handling practices. In brief, the

principles say that personal data must be:

1. Processed fairly and lawfully and must not be processed unless certain conditions are met in

relation to personal data and additional conditions are met in relation to sensitive personal data. The conditions are either that the data subject has given consent to the processing for third party use, or the processing is necessary for the various purposes set out in the Act.

2. Obtained only for one or more specified and lawful purposes, and must not be processed in

any manner incompatible with those purposes.

3. Adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which it is processed.

4. Accurate and, where necessary, kept up-to-date.

5. Not kept for longer than is necessary.

6. Processed in accordance with the rights of employees under the Act.

7. Secure. Appropriate technical and organisational measures must be taken against unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data and against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, data.

8. Not transferred to a country or territory outside the European Economic Area unless that

country or territory ensures an adequate level of protection relation to the processing of personal data.
